collects several as played by a bunch of session cats in Nashville, but fans of early recordings will find little here to get excited about. Essentially, the set was made just to collect a set of in one place, but the playing is relatively soulless and sterile despite the boast "Played in the Arrangements of the Early Days." It's hard to believe the creators of this little set even considered applying arrangements when the majority of the pianos are actually electronic keyboards plugged straight into the board and loaded with effects. Who knows who the label was marketing this CD to when they released it, but it is essentially a contradiction of what people seeking early are generally searching for, which is the raw, soulful approach which apparently inspired these recordings. ~ Gregory McIntosh
