A Boy and His Nana is an adventure series inspired by the relationship between Triston, a special needs boy on the Autism Spectrum, and his loving Nana. In this adventure series, Triston finds himself in crazy scenarios or uncomfortable situations and needs help. His Nana always saves the day. The fictional book series focuses on an area in which Triston struggles as a child with severe learning delays and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In this adventure, Triston and his mom go out for the Fourth of July, but unlike the other children who love the glitter and loud boom of the fireworks, Triston can't stand it. An irritated Triston is about to ask his mom to go home, when all of the sudden, the fireworks show is interrupted by non other than his nana. The show takes a unique turn. Triston and his nana go on an adventure that will change the entire fireworks show. He finds himself enjoying the fireworks after all.
