Troy Austin LaFon lives in Wilmington, NC. A Boy Called Geppetto is his first book. He has always been interested in geography and European countries, as well as language and vocabulary. Troy was diagnosed with autism at age five. At seventeen, he began to struggle to be what he perceived as neurotypical. In more recent years though, he has come to accept being on the autism spectrum and embrace the unique contributions he can make and the importance of his role within the community and his family.
