We desire deep connections and relationships, but can't bridge the gap between good intentions and actions that matter. Our days are tiring, wanting, and unsurprising. Life feels...off, ho-hum, ineffective. However, our hearts, desires, and intentions seem to be in a good place. What did the disciples discover that could change our lives from every day-ordinary to uncommon, amazing...even revolutionary? A CURE!
A – Awareness – Choose to see, be aware of, and discover people's humanity and real needs. To love our neighbor, we must first see them.
C – Compassion – As we become aware of the needs and humanity of those around us, we can develop compassion by developing a deep love and genuine concern for them.
U – Understanding – compassion gives us the desire to learn more about others to gain an understanding of who they are, their backstory, why they do the things they do the way they do, and what they need.
R – Role – With understanding, we determine the role we are able to play in their life and circumstances, and how to best serve them.
E – Execution – As we embrace our role, we take actions that reach them in deeply meaningful ways and inspire them to offer A CURE to others.
