"The writing is very descriptive, and holds the reader in a deep level of immersion as much as possible while keeping the story going. It's clear that a great deal of passion and labor went into the book. The novel will appeal to many fantasy aficionados who are happy to connect their own dots and enjoy the book for what it is: a rich setting with many tales in it to tell." Self-Publishing Review, 4 Stars "When I first read Fated: A Draemorian Chronicle: The Western World by Sebastien Leonard, I was provided with a rough draft to offer my editorial thoughts. My feedback on the rough draft revolved mostly around how much I liked the characters, the potential of the fascinating world Mr. Leonard had created, and my appreciation of the parallels he had drawn between the history of his world and that of ours. I told him to flesh things out a little more and that I would love to see a more polished version in future. Well, I just finished the final version, and to be honest - I was not disappointed." SharaLee Reads, 3.5 Stars 'A Draemorian Chronicle: The Western World' is the first of a five-book anthology. The novel is written in an abstract format; a series of historical narratives that are preceded and woven together by journal entries written by the primary narrator, then ended in a novella which continues the present day events. The first novel introduces its narrator, Sorrownote, who then travels the land and meets representatives of nations within the Western World. The Western World is comprised of 5 major nations: The Angelic Kingdom of Elysica, The Demonic Kingdom of Dornar, The Blood Plains, Paradigm, Isle of Ash and Belliscia, Island of Serenity. As the story progresses, you witness Sorrownote's life slowly altering until it reaches the present-day storyline. From there, we begin the story with a boy, Joseph, who is suddenly changed into a demon. He befriends an angel, Jennifer, and journeys to the mainland in order to find a cure. They get involved in much greater events which could lead to war which may end all life and reset the balance.
