Scriptural, historical, and documentary materials are combined in a novel fashion to examine Jesus’s life and teachings in this innovative religious study. Special emphasis is placed upon deciphering Jesus’s own words and ideas, as well as on comparing what terms such as “messiah” and “resurrection” meant during biblical as opposed to current times, and how these discrepancies have impacted Christian beliefs. The work of contemporary theologians and present-day understandings of the Christian faith are also addressed in a manner that seeks to return authenticity and integrity to the forefront of theological study.
