Excerpt from A Memoir of the Life and Death of the Rev. Father Augustus Henry Law, Vol. 3: Formerly, From February 1846 to December 1853, an Officer in the Royal Navy
I thank you very much for sending me your Memoir of dear Augustus. He was truly a holy youth and hls early life shews in what piety and purity a youth can live even the rough life of a sailor. It is a beautiful book and will, I think, speak home to many who were the companions of his early life. The letters of father and son, and their mutual intelligent sympathy, are also beautiful. It gives me also joy to see my name so often; and I trust it gives me now both his prayers and yours. I hope you are well - Believe me always.
