We've all had bad days, but nothing like the morning Catherine woke up to that early spring morning. She was a nurse at the local hospital, and they depended on her. Her power was off which wasn't so unusual in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia but her car wouldn't start either. She picked up her cell phone to call the hospital and it was dead. Catherine knew she left it on the charger and that the battery was full. Nothing electrical worked.
Days turned into weeks. Still no power. The hospital didn't send anyone to check on her, in fact she hadn't seen a seen a soul this entire time. Ok, she lived in the middle of no where, but still Catherine knew that something really bad had happened. Whatever it was she needed to find out!
