But little did I know my later experiences would prove over and over the solid validity of the simple quotation written by some obscure author many generations ago. Let me explain! Few people can say they had a really good friend - the friend that is better than any family - and fewer yet can have a bonded relationship with such a friend over a lifetime. Yet I was one of those fortunate few. Clark Romney was better than any brother, wiser than any father, more sharing and compassionate than any saint, and who loved me enough to set me straight when I wandered into fruitless enterprises.
