A Workbook for Dyslexics
is an Orton-Gillingham based reading program for older students and adults, who struggle with reading and have, or may have, dyslexia (recommended for ages 14+).
The program starts at the very beginning, with the most basic units of sounds (phonemes) and continues to the more complicated, multi-syllable words. Complete with online resources, this program will guide you in teaching reading to your student. Lessons are step-by-step, no planning or training needed. Online resources include the online flash cards, a letter tiles tool, and the audio dictations for spelling practice.
This is a complete reading program containing 55 lessons with exercises and word lists, designed to gradually teach the student to decode words using intensive phonics, rules and memory cues. The lessons go beyond what is taught in most schools, and is exactly what a struggling student needs to become a proficient reader. The lessons gradually build up to the next topic with repetition for reinforcement.
