Sandra Marie Barrows just woke up after the car accident that interrupted her orderly existence, and now her boring but familiar face is no longer the one in her reflection ... her body ... ditto. Both are far too pretty to possibly be hers. The set of inappropriate tattoos, white blonde hair and the pointy ears are pretty dang disturbing too. It is all too obvious that Sandra is not in Los Angeles anymore.
So, what's a lady lawyer to do when she wakes up in the middle of an all too real and violent fantasy novel ... and worse, type-cast as one of the really bad guys? As crazy dreams go, it all makes better sense than the rotten mess Sandra called a life in L.A. Now, if she can just figure out how to keep both sides of this war she just got dropped in the middle of from killing her and the crazy little guy named Berkin (who
claims
to be some kind of wizard, or something), the only
friendly
person she's met in this insane world called Tyunn. Sandra needs to either wake up, or to find a way to survive now, and to do so as quickly as possible, because, things just got even more complicated. It would help a lot if she could figure out why everyone so desperately wants her dead before they try again. Her best odds on surviving this until she can are to hide until she does and to convince a certain young mercenary named Finigan to change his mind about his opinion about assassins, especially tattooed female ones with pointy ears.
