If you are the parent of an estranged adult child, you are not alone. Too many of us have walked this lonely road and have hoped the dreadful hope. These musings might seem as if from your own heart, full of emotions you wish you could scream out in your agony. Each entry was inspired by real parents, good parents, who suffer exactly like you are suffering. Be warned that some of the sentiments may be fleeting, temporary, even unspeakable. A few are things you should never say aloud. But every one of these writings are authentic to the parents who experience them. Breaking is a must if you want to heal, because there is no coming back from this. Not ever. But there is life after abandonment-and even incredible joy. You can find that for yourself.
