I moved in to take care of my great-grandmother Alice, who was 99 years old. I wanted her to spend what time she had left in her own place, not an unfamiliar retirement community or nursing home. This book documents her downward spiral from constant lucidity to almost permanent confusion. The journal entries span a five-month period of time, from when I moved in with her, until she passed away.
