XIX. Andalusia, Spain 1863, Clément Delhorme, a passionate astronomer and his wife Alicia live in Granada. Clément is obsessed with getting a huge balloon up in the air, one in which he can fly cross the skies, when a young engineer, Gustave Eiffel, arrives in town. Soon, the two geniuses realize that they have many things in common like their craving for progress, a strong personality, and an overwhelming ambition. Delhorme continues with his aeronautical research while being a mentor to the young Eiffel, who intends to build a bridge in Portugal that crosses the Douro river. Being taken under the wings of a family full of brilliant artists and scientists and living in the midst of the wonderful Alhambra gardens and fountains, definitely shaped Eiffel’s destiny, to later build the famous Parisian tower and the Statue of Liberty. The avant-garde unites Granada and Paris through the ambitions of these two geniuses, Delhorme and Eiffel; two men devoted to science who pay homage to those great minds that promoted modernity and progress at the end of the 19th century.
