For 53 years, Kamal and Shirley Aggarwal have loved, dreamed, and sacrificed to build a life for their five children and eventual grandchildren. It didn't matter that they came from different backgrounds, different cultures, different religions, and a different kind of upbringing. Instead, they challenged those differences and focused on their similarities as people. That decision directed the course of their life together . . . through their early days, through their child-raising years, through career and travel, through sickness, and now into retirement. They admit that in the beginning of their life together, it wasn't always "moonlight and roses." They didn't know what they needed to do to make a marriage strong.
