In the present sense, America is engulfed in a serious political divide. Tensions are high, and it appears that divisive political issues have become commonplace in every aspect of ordinary life. During a nearly unprecedented time of polarization, logic and reason must prevail over emotion. The first steps at addressing these divisions require a candid discussion about the problems the nation faces and to identify the cultural origins of these issues. This work attempts to frankly discuss reasons for the cultural decline that has been experienced in the United States over several decades and proposes possible solutions to this decline. In a robust and bold discussion, the foundational principles of American culture and the national founding are presented in an attempt to connect the past to the present. It is offered in the hopes that the reader, with an open mind, may better understand the individual citizens role as part of the collective body of citizenry in the community, state, and nation, and to work towards the creation of a national cultural restoration that is so desperately needed in America today.
