Sir - The Committee of Arrangements for the Celebration of the centennial birth-day of Washington, beg leave to express their sincere obligations to you, for the interesting and eloquent Oration pronounced by you this day, on that occasion.
They believe they express the Wish of the numerous audience who listened to it, as well as the wish of the citizens generally, in informing you of their own unanimous desire that it should be printed, and they request the favor, therefore, of a mm for that purpose.
