The life history of a university teacher is the central objective of this manuscript from the ontological, epistemological, theoretical and axiological perspectives in relation to the historical, social and cultural contexts as a contribution in the elaboration of the approach to its pedagogical ideology. Qualitative research under the descriptive experiential introspective approach carried out through the biographical life history method, applied to a university teacher attached to the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL) and Instituto de Mejoramiento Profesional del Magisterio (IMPM) located in the Táchira state of Venezuela, Doctor in Education Nancy Escobar. The results obtained, organized in categories of analysis, allowed to know their pedagogical ideology which is strengthened by combining the values of love, respect, friendship, responsibility as relevant factors in school mediation, knowledge based on pedagogy generating new life experiences and actions, which leads to set objects of study based on the teaching action, prioritizing and establishing new reasons for being.
