In May 1982 the nascent Solar Industry was already in its death throes. On a cue from a co-worker, Jeff takes leave from the renewable energy business to travel with his partner in a tenuous relationship. Together, they bike, hitchhike, drive, hike and ride around the planet over some 80 weeks. Part 2 covers entering communist Eastern Europe, through biking the Alps, to steering south as Fall 1982 arrives. It narrates of his experiences and is illustrated by his photos, placing the reader in the head of a 27 year old recession era traveler.
