I live in England and was twenty five years old when I was diagnosed with Asperger's. Until then my parents just thought that I was difficult, lazy and perhaps a little shy. I'm hoping that my story will help people to have a better insight in what it is like having to live with Asperger's every day. I also hope that people who have Asperger's will be encouraged to know that they are not on their own. Below are some of the topics that my story includes; Experiencing basic education at school; seeking Further Education qualifications at college; struggling to find suitable employment; the nightmare of the Job Centre expectations; coping with the complexities of the benefit system, and the mystery of socialising with people!
