Bag Girl is a memoir of strength, courage, survival, and resilience. Trying to survive the chaotic world of being the eldest of my family comes with its own baggage. On top of being diagnosed with diabetes and PCOS at a young age, all while dealing with a bipolar sex crazed mother who cared more about men then her own children was a whole different fight I wasn't prepared for.
Having being taught to stay in a child's place and that my feelings didn't matter, nor did I have a say in anything, I knew I was brought into this world for one thing and one thing only. To mother, not be mothered. Battling my own personal demons along with my anxiety and depression was enough for my mother to keep me grounded, that alone came with its side of verbal abuse and humiliation.
