Quack and Lilly were unaware of what it felt like to feel accepted by others and felt unworthy within because they never had any friends. They were treated poorly by the ducks in their community. Quack was being bullied by the other ducks because he was afraid of water and never knew how to swim. Lilly was also bullied by the other ducks for not only being the only bird in their duck community but for being a bird that was afraid to fly. All their lives feeling alone and unworthy, they were losing hope in ever finding happiness. They eventually became the best of friends and ignored what others thought about them. Along their journey, Quack and Lilly made a pact to help one another face their fears and vowed to never give up on each other until they were able to face their fears. They began protecting and encouraging one another daily to value their beautiful imperfections as a strength. In the end, Quack and Lilly learned that although they suffered from the same mental and emotional anguish, they were able to overcome their hardships by learning how to embrace their individuality with confidence.
