Following a Master's Degree in Elizabethan and Shakespearian Drama, English writer John Gartland set out to play many parts, barman, fringe dramatist, driver, telecommunications salesman lifeguard, steel worker, professor. He has travelled widely, and published four books of poetry and two novels, the most recent of which, "Resurrection Room", was described as "genius" in its first US review, and "superb" by the reviewer for The Nation newspaper, Bangkok. John has taught in universities in Korea, Oman and Thailand, and, during his years in Bangkok, his public poetry readings won him the description, "Poet Noir". He now lives and works in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Englishman Mark Desmond Hughes, is a professional journalist who has worked in many countries in his career.
