The light-heartedness and poetry of the Bordallian swallows make the piece Spring an ongoing season. After hovering they now land on vases, bringing art and joy to a any room. Contrasting with the white of the faïence, the naturalistic swallows create continuous movement and awaken a sense of familiarity wherever the piece is found.

This collection is based on original pieces designed by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro and his son Manuel Gustavo. This Portuguese style of ceramics brings to life the texture and color details of plants and animals as found in nature by forming three-dimensional figurines in the sculptural form before firing.
