During a routine sanity assessment, a forensic psychologist gets tangled up in a John Doe's complex web of deceit, actually believing the man's incredible tale of time travel. Accused of murdering a nine-year-old girl, the man pleads his innocence, confessing to being a Connective; a savior of children who are slated to die, anyway. Is this man somehow hypnotizing the psychologist who is simply trying to determine whether he is competent to stand trial for his crime, or is he actually telling the truth?
