"In the Dallas suburbs, three likable Texas twentysomething goofs attempt to become criminals. This caper comedy chronicles their bungling adventures. Their leader is Dingan, a ceaselessly loquacious dim-bulbed loser who likes to dress up in a crisp white ice cream truck driver's uniform and who fancies himself a criminal mastermind. He is first seen rescuing his amiable, good-hearted pal Anthony from the rehabilitation hospital where he has voluntarily committed himself. Because Anthony is a good sport, he goes along with Dingan's scheme and knots the sheets together to escape out the window. Dingan has devised a 75-year plan for success and is eager to enact it. They arm themselves, recruit Bob as their getaway driver, and somehow burgle a bookstore and then hole up in a hotel where Anthony falls in love with the South American housekeeper Inez and slyly gives her all the loot. When Dingan finds out, an argument ensues and the trio breaks up and returns separately to Dallas. They eventually regroup. Dingan, who has by this time gotten involved with Mr. Henry, a real outlaw with a pony tail and a penchant for karate, persuades the others to help him pull off a real caper. Unfortunately, their dreams exceed their abilities and comic disaster ensues."
