Twenty-something Cami is a burned out tech refugee looking for solace volunteering in organic farms. But she is actually a witch. She does suspect there is something different in her DNA after her deep desire for some time off to go to the South of Italy and reconnect with her family roots is granted in a bloody situation at her office. Her connecting-with-the-land retreat takes a different turn when Rori, one of the volunteers in the farm she's staying, goes missing. As she investigates her friend's whereabouts, Cami discovers a subterranean world inhabited by witches who claim to be her ancestors. She also meets a mysterious man, Marco, who lives near the farm, goes on pursuing her but is also a witch hater. She's drawn to him but fights it since she's afraid and committed to a boyfriend in her hometown of San Francisco. The inhabitants of the subterranean world have an agenda for Cami, and so does Marco. Cami navigates both worlds trying to find her friend Rori and meanwhile, discovering a lot about herself, her own powers and beliefs.
