As physically, emotionally, and sexually abused and neglected children by parents deeply involved in the occult, we had no idea our lives were any different from anyone else's until we were bullied by our peers and ostracized by neighboring families. We were born before mandated reporting by teachers and caregivers was implemented. Everything about our lives seemed to literally "slip between the cracks." Nothing could be taken for granted. Regular meals, baths, clean clothes, emotional and physical safety, and love were often rare commodities. It was a time when family lives were private, and interfering was unthinkable. It was a time when obvious abuse was ignored by acquaintances, and life for most went on its predicted course...except for the children left in the hands of mentally ill parents.
