This is an origami colouring book that contains abstract-pattern colouring sheets that you can turn into 15 beautiful origami boxes with lids. The idea is that you first cut out the colouring sheets for the boxes and their lids, then colour them and finally make origami boxes out of them by following the folding instructions.
The folding instructions included in the book are for the traditional Japanese
masu
box. The boxes are ideal for storing beads, gems, loom bands, pins, paperclips, staples, sweets, seeds and other small treasures. You can also use them as small gift boxes.
Difficulty level:
- colouring: medium with some intricate areas
- origami: fairly easy
If you'd like to try making something else, you don't have to restrict yourself to just making boxes. Visit www.lusciousbooks.co.uk/origami to find links to lots of origami instructions and video tutorials.
