Following an intense, tumultuous relationship, Laura (Seidi Haarla), a young Finnish woman, boards a train at Murmansk, a station within the Arctic circle, to flee from her life in Moscow. She discovers that she shares a cramped sleeping compartment with Ljoha (Yuriy Borisov), a Russian mine worker with an enigmatic past of his own. As the train churns through the tundra, the unexpected bunkmates discover what they truly long for in their broken, itinerant lives.
