In this issue, our contributors consider people who fall outside the mainstream, the outliers. Homeless, destitute, those with mental and physical disabilities, artists, weirdos. People who don't fall within normal parameters. But in the business world, "outliers" refers to the remarkably successful as well as the inexplicable failures. Luck lands some in the successful category, while for others, circumstances beyond control put them in places they might not want to be. Perhaps what's most important is the need to recognize-we're all outliers in some way.
