Born in France in 1832, Gustave Doré was considered an artistic genius at an early age who embarked on a lifetime career as a cartoonist, illustrator, painter, sculptor, and caricaturist. Wood engravings became his specialty, and he is widely known today for his breathtaking illustrations in popular books such as Milton's Paradise Lost, Dante's Inferno, and Doré's London: A Pilgrimage. He died in 1883. About the artist:
Born in Pittsburgh in 1975, Bussler is the founder of CGR Publishing, lead-restoration artist, and cover designer.
