Dave Porter's War Honors
is the fifteenth and final volume in the Dave Porter Series. In the previous volume, Dave and some of his friends volunteered for WWI service as part of the U. S. Amry's Engineering Corp. After training, they were sent to France where they not only built bridges and roads, but fought the Germans, as well. In the current volume, they spend as much time fighting as they do meeting their engineering duties, and the action is hot and heavy. Once again, Dave and his buddies meet and must overcome enemies from their younger days. Additionally Dave becomes lost and then captured by the Germans, and is feared dead. At the end, of course, all's well that ends well. A fitting finale and tribute to the author's very popular hero.
