Daniel Whitacore, a brilliant hematologist/oncologist discovers a method to turn, the provirus that causes Jakob-Cruestfel Disease or Mad Cow Disease, into a lifesaving treatment for lymphoma. But Whitacore has many enemies and jealous competitors, who purloin his micro-organism and rearrange its biology to make it infectious. There is Peter  Sutter a, billionaire owner of a technology firm, whose son, Whitacore treated but unfortunately died. There is a rival oncologist, who is jealous of Daniel's brilliance and prominence. There is Susan, a brilliant Harvard-trained Ph.D., who is a girlfriend of his fellow, John Abel but also an ambitious ruthless lover of Sutter. These individuals unbeknownst to Whitacore conspire against him. But Sutter has another motivation. He is deeply in debt and is about to lose his company. He strikes a deal with an Arab bio-terrorist group and now Whitacore's discovery is in the hands of the ruthless people, who will  turn this organism into a pandemic. The motivations that drive all these characters is the underlying theme but the terror of a pandemic is the focus of this breathtaking medical thriller.
