The interest in the reception and transformation of the works of classical antiquity is evidently very alive in our time. The thesis deals intensively with Cicero's last work "De Officiis", its continuous presence and effects in our culture to the present day. By following the changes in the perception of antiquity in general, this study focuses on this antique text, that can be time and again understood and regarded in a novel way by means of the new reception, transformation and recontextualization.
