After the overwhelming popularity of the first volume, the Detroit Free Press is proud to announce the second in our series of pictorial history books, "Detroit Memories II: The Early Years through the 1940s." This time around, this heirloom-quality book will include images from the 1940s in addition to more stunning images from the early years.
We are excited to partner with Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Public Library, and Detroit Historical Society on this project. The book will feature images from their wonderful archives, as well as images from you, our readers, in this unique coffee-table book — this project will truly capture the rich heritage of our city.
