The elite recovery team is back in action in the second book in the new Valkyrie series. After the events of the first book have taken their toll on Richard Carter, the teams newest member another rescue is looming on the horizon. However, Richard isn't ready. The young paramedic has yet to come to terms with the effects of his first real rescue mission. Having to deal with his own demons may cause Richard to become disqualified from the team and that would be a crushing blow because he left everything behind to accept the position with Valkyrie. Hopefully, training and the development of personal insight will help Richard overcome his fears.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a series of events in unfolding that will put all members of the team in danger as they attempt to rescue a young female client who is being used as a pawn in a much larger game of cat and mouse.
