The Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia mounted this 2008 production of Richard Wagner's colossal opera +Die Walküre, which benefits from some unusual elements, namely the involvement of La Fura dela Baus, which designed opulent, visually extravagant sets that blend extreme lighting, unusual props and three-dimensional computer projections. The production stars Peter Seiffert as Siegmund, Matti Salminen as Hunding and Juha Uusitalo as Wotan. Carlus Padrissa directs for the stage; The Orchestra of the Comunitat Valenciana, under the direction of Zubin Mehta, provides symphonic accompaniment.
