The main purpose of my book is to specify what higher educational policies will contribute the most to excelling in academic knowledge, critical thinking, and complex reasoning. I have also expressed reservations about certain classroom endeavors that appear to be an impediment to intellectual development and to stifle a student's journey toward the love of intellectual inquiry. I have critiqued some university policies that contradict American traditions as Emile Durkheim, the Father of Sociology, had shown how cultural transformations create social anomie and self-alienation. My goal for higher education is to reinforce the noblest aspects of human nature as a means to live productive and fulfilled lives, to boost family values, and to maximize an enriching social order encompassing a culture of moral values.
