Donny's Plea, Thoughts of A Cancer Patient are the thoughts my husband Donny shared with his brother Mike when Donny was losing his 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. It was one of Donny's last wishes that I, his wife, get his words out to others in hope that it would in some way help them not go through what we did when we were faced with this awful terminal diagnosis in 2010. It was his thought that one should never settle for the first thing you are told, that it is okay to get more than one opinion about your diagnosis and treatments. This is a book about an amazing man and how he lived his life, it is not only a story of love, our love story, and the loss of a beautiful human being but it also has a chapter to help the caregiver and several chapters for patient advocacy or places to go for help. This book is for anyone who has been affected in any way in their lives by a debilitating or terminal illness.
