Doodle Days With Maggie is a story inspired by a Goldendoodle named Maggie and her therapy dog visits. It's about Maggie the Goldendoodle who enjoys having joyful, silly doodle days by rolling in the snow, chasing crunchy leaves or leaping in the air to catch her frisbee. When she becomes a therapy dog, she realizes how special her visits are for people. Maggie likes bringing comfort and happiness to the people she visits. She realizes that being loved makes the greatest doodle days. Maggie begins to feel like she knows all about doodle days. She considers herself an expert. But when she meets another Goldendoodle with golden fur that is unlike her grayish fur, she feels misplaced. Maggie wonders if she will ever be able to have a doodle day again. Maggie is desperate to make her fur golden. She hopes by stretching out in the sun she will become golden. She is sad when her plan doesn't work. Two boys come along and as they are petting Maggie, they see her gentleness and her kind, lovable heart. The boys let her know that her fur doesn't have to be golden. They tell her all of her golden is in her heart. Maggie now understands that the most important part of her is what's in her golden heart!
