The book reveals his wide range of inspirations, which include technology, art, pop culture and ethnography. Walter Van Beirendonck studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He broke through at the British Designer Show in London in 1987, together with 'The Antwerp Six' Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene and Marina Yee.
