The easygoing vibe on Arizona's Dear and the Headlights' sophomore album, DRUNK LIKE BIBLE TIMES, makes the songs drift by like so much tumbleweed, but there's also substance beneath the affability. Four of the five members are credited as playing "keys," and it makes sense, since they employ a warm, rustic organ-laden sound, recalling rootsy rockers like The Band and Tom Petty without resorting to rural posturing. Whether it's the ringing guitars of "Now It's Over" or the hushed delicacy of "Parallel Lines," Dear and the Headlights sound at home.
