Several years older and well-established in Eagle River, the kid detectives take on a new and dangerous case. Tim, now a high-school freshman, agrees to search for clues in the disappearance of his new girlfriend's uncle. He enlists the help of his siblings, his sister Carly's boyfriend, their grandpa and his friend. Their investigation results in snooping, stakeouts, a weapons cache, and an explosion-and of course, finally overcoming the bad guys. By searching clues, listing their findings and acting very bravely as a group, they discover the instigators of the sinister activities and prevent a tragedy. The mystery and adventure keep the reader turning pages. Love that dog, too!
