At a very young age, I knew that I held a special place in my heart for this world. And I think I always knew that there were more than just us on this plane of existence. I was also taught at a very young age by my father; he would always tell me, "My sweet girl, you always have to remember, our dreams are a glimpse into our own futures. Now you need to always remember that, and never forget who you are and what your purpose is in this life." So as the years have gone by, I found myself fighting for the freedom of my own country, protecting the men and women beneath my command. I was always that one person that looked out for the little guy. But never in my wildest dreams would I find myself fighting for my own world. Never would I have imagined that I would one day find my true soul mate, but here's the kicker: my soul mate, my true mate fated by destiny herself, was from a different realm altogether. Now I knew I had the gift, the gift of foresight, but I had no idea what truly burned deep down in my soul: the flame of life and rebirth. One day I wake up, and I am retired from the military, and the next thing I know, I'm voluntarily going overseas to the same shithole I left as a soldier. But this time around, I was getting paid what I was worth. Now I look back and think whether the money is worth what I will soon be going through: demons, dark and evil creatures, black magic that I only read in fairy tales, and now a war was to be waged between the light and the dark. Our world has always had good and evil, and even that gray area, but now this war that is being waged, it has been set upon lies and deceit, and I will not fail my people or my world. I will win this war, and light will prevail once again.
