Author's notes: Edited.
Jared's new independent life in the big city was going perfect, until he was abducted by aliens the first night there.
Planned to be sold on the galactic black market, Jared and the other human captives were soon shortly rescued by the galactic police force hunting these alien poachers. Unsure what to do with them after, and not wanting to leave them locked away in some evidence locker, it was decided to adopt these humans as pets. Misled by misinformation online, these officers weren't ready for what they were getting their hands in for.
From one hell to the next, Jared soon finds himself as a pet to one of these police officers, but things don't go as planned for anyone. Fighting for independence, Jared must learn to live with his new Canid alien owner. Forced to adapt to his situation, Jared must get creative to survive.
The Canid's are a race of kind-hearted anthropomorphic canine's and Rodney is a lonely man looking for nothing more than companionship and friendship for those long lonely nights. However, not everything goes as plan as he bites off more than he can chew with the alien he adopts. Mistakingly thinking Jared is nothing more than a pet.
Rodney is forced to learn the truth about them that no one wants to openly admit. He can only hope to win Jared's trust, before it's too late.
