The necklace has the destructive power for the Silver Ghost to wipe out everyone Sativa cares about unless she can get it back. Although she starts out this journey alone, Sativa meets many others along the way - Benjy, a strange, lonely boy who could turn out to be an enemy; Elias, a Russian spy with a dark past; and Donovan, someone linked to Sativa's sister in a way that she could never have imagined. As Sativa learns who she can and can't trust, she struggles to keep her entire world from being destroyed.
