The Frida pattern is printed on the natural paper. This paper is handmade using bark of daphne plant locally known as lokta which grows very high in the mountains of Nepal. The lokta bark is peeled off from the plant and is collected by village cooperatives from community forest. The bark regrows in about 4 years time and this process also is benificial for the plants. It is then cleaned, cut and made into the pulp. The pulp is mixed into the water and poured individually into the wooden frames and left in the sun light to dry up. Once the paper dries up the natural cream colored paper is made.
