Excerpt from First Annual Report of the Chief Executive Viticultural Officer to the Board of State Viticultural Commissioners, for the Year 1881 Gentlemen: I have the honor to submit the following report, with the accompanying papers constituting Appendices A, B, C, and D, giving therein a brief summary of the work of my office during the past viticultural season, together with translations and original docu ments which contain information of special interest to those engaged in viticulture. It has been impractical, owing partly to the pressure of correspondence, and the inadequacy of the funds at the disposal of the State Printer, to prepare for publication more extended papers relating to the subjects treated, or treatises upon other important topics not yet touched upon. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work.
