Blues guitarist and historian Stefan Grossman has studied with everyone from Reverend Gary Davis to Mississippi John Hurt, as well as releasing a string of instructional blues albums. He's also a notable musician in his own right, as FRIENDS FOREVER, a duets album, demonstrates. Culling tracks recorded between 1969 and 2007, this collection finds Grossman paired with guitarists Larry Coryell, Rory Block, Mike Cooper, John Renbourn, and others, as he tackles an array of blues ("Ragtime Mama Blues") and jazz tunes (Charles Mingus's "The Shoes of the Fisherman's Wife Are Some Jive Ass Slippers").
